Type of fabric:

We use a low-stretch 40 Denier Nylon Tricot that is 110 inches wide. Low-stretch aerial fabric is a very common type of fabric that aerialists choose to use, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned aerialist.

How long will it take for us to dye them?:

Because each aerial silk is hand dyed, processing time can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks depending on the volume of orders that we have at any given time. Although, if you need your fabric by a certain date let us know and we will try our hardest to get it to you on time.

What length should you choose?:

We order our fabric by the yard, so when you’re choosing a length that number is referring to how many yards you would like. To pick the correct length for your training needs you will need to know the height of the place you are training at. I would advise talking to someone at the place you’re training at to see what length you will need before placing an order. About a half a yard at the maximum can be lost during the dying process, so please take that into consideration before ordering as well.

If there is a length you need that isn’t listed please message us in our chat box on our page or email us at shoplivelyvibes@gmail.com

Safety:

The company we purchase aerial silks from have been providing fabric to aerialists for many years and they have been break tested. They purposefully avoid anything that looks like it could form a snag, run, or hole, and only send us the best of the best fabric. We also double check all of the fabric once we get it, and before we send it out, to reassure that you will not get a piece that is slightly damaged.

Lively Vibes Aerial Silks Tie-dye Care Instructions:

  1. Always wash your tie-dyed aerial silks on the coldest setting on your washer. Do NOT wash them in hot or even warm water to reduce the risk of bleeding.
  2. Use a "plain" tide washing detergent and no fabric softener or bleach. Use a "gentle wash" cycle.
  3. Dry in your dryer on a “no heat” setting. For example, our dryer has a setting that says “FLUFF AIR no heat.” At the end of each drying cycle, take your aerial silks out, untangle them, and then put them back in for another "FLUFF AIR no heat" cycle and repeat until completely dry.

Note: Exposing your tie-dye aerial silks to long exposure of sunlight can cause risk of fading, especially colors in the blue spectrum.

Please let us know if you have ideas for any kind of design that we do not have listed here. We are very experienced tie-dyers and can most likely make your vision come true!
